Hello all, I was just wondering if you've all taken a look at the wonderful haunted locations index on this site. I'm sure most of you have, in fact that's what had me visiting this site for years. I was also wondering if any of you went to these places, and saw anything? I ended up going to two of these places. I'll list details if you care to look.
Berthoud - South of Carter Lake: A man is seen in the vicinity of Bennet Road during daylight walking through the hills carrying a canvas bag that is thrown over his shoulder. "Mr. Bennet," the original settler of the area was shot and killed on Bennet Road as the result of a land dispute. The apparition disappears as he walks along.
-I went to this one with some friends close to midnight. I actually live in Berthoud so It was fun to hear about this location. It's just a dirt road leading to some houses in the foothills. We just pulled over, sat in our car and waited. None of us really felt any sort of vibes, but we did hear a creepy 'trilling' noise. The noise ended up being an ostrich. I've never seen an ostrich so the trip was worth it.
Mead - Mead grave yard - When going to this place u will see that there are graves dating back to the 1800 and people have reported seeing mobs and people lynching black men and many other things.
-I also went to this one with some friends at about midnight.. Mead is a very small town, next to berthoud. the graveyard was not even in the town, it was out in the middle of no where along a county dirt road. It was creepy when we found it, because there is nothing around it. We took a video camera and proceeded to film different parts of the graveyard, and tombstones (which do actually date back to the 1800's). We were being very respectful to the grounds. After about 20 minutes, we saw some headlights come up over the road. We rushed out, but not quick enough. It was a cop. Turned out none of us paid any attention to the sign saying 'open from dawn until dusk'. He did his cop thing, but was very rude about it.
Telling us that our lives were pathetic. We were lucky enough to not get issued any tickets. After reviewing the film several times, we did not find anything then either. But it was still a nice experience.
Also, heed the 'trespassing' warning on the page. I did not, and almost got in trouble for it.
