As a long time member of this board, my intentions are the same as yours: to provide insight into paranormal activities and share feedback. On occasion, there
are some instances where we are not qualified to help we direct the individual who can get help. Sometimes we are the person who needs help, other times
it's friends who need it, but we've always been one of the forums I'm proudest to be a member of. Not only because of our openess and
willingingness to share thoughts and ideas, but because of how we conduct ourselves. We're adults. We carry ourselves as such.
However, I write this post in this shadowlands forum, a forum I don't normally frequent, but i know others do when they've ran out of logical explanations. I also write from a troubled place in my heart because of an incident that was just told to me, and I'm close to seeing red because of it. Why?
Out of respect for certain individuals, I will not share details.....unless provoked by the same person who set my fingers in motion and inspired this post.
"Psychically Gifted" is a term tossed about a lot, but it's a gift that garners distain, or disrespect for those that trully have it. It makes it much, much harder on the people who do have this gift because of charlatens who pose as psychics for profit. They harm for financial gain, and from my observation and experience they do not help. The help I found for my situation came free of charge...it only cost me my time.
The other type of someone who claims to have 'the gift' is someone who means well, but is not experienced enough to be effective, and in fact makes it worse making clean up for someone else longer and harder. I beg you now: please ask all the questions about the incident you need to, and ask for guidance from those who have experience. This will help the person you are helping, and you because not case is the same. many are different and help-free help-is here to assist! We're a community! We work together. Maybe we butt heads, but we work together! Please do not attempt something you don't understand before confering with those who have more experience. A psychic gift is not like what you see in the store: it's not shipped in boxes, it does not come from the same factory as the rest....it was not made in china, taiwan, or here in the USA. One person's gift is to rescue spirits, another's gift is forsight, and another's gift is audio clairvoyancy. All gifts are nurtured or tuned in different ways, but there's always something someone else has. Hang up pride at the door when you help someone and ask for help where need be.
The third type....the most despicable type in my opinion that has me seeing a bright fushia at this point, is a combination of the two; limited in psychic ability but still has the 'open for business' shingle hanging up. You have limited knowledge as to what your doing, and probably not even doing it right, but you'll charge just the same even if the problem isn't resolved????? DISGUSTING! How do you know if you didn't make the house a magnet for a darker entity to come in? Did you close all those portals? Do you know if it was a real portal or a false portal the offending entity created just to allude you and keep you from shutting them out for good? Doesn't matter cuz you make a profit. Sick! Absolutely sick! How dare you try to capitalize on someone else's misfortune, and open them to worse dangers!
I'm going to stop right there because anymore and I'll go back on my word. I didn't come to rant, I came to warn. When you encounter someone willing to help with a psychic problem and all physical elements are ruled out, and your ready to ask for help, please ask them their level of experience. Ask them for references. The trully gifted will give it to you, and the people helped shouldn't mind telling you about their experiences. Most importantly (and this is a sticky issue many will agree and many will disagree)....if they're charging you a fee for their help,,,put them at the bottom of your list. I'm not going to say 'eliminate' because there may be a reason they want to be reimbursed for their expenses, but go back to what I said before: everyone's gifts are nurtured in different ways. They maybe close to you and don't need to get anything to help you, some may live far away but doesn't have to come to you to do it.
After all, it's a gift and a talent and they are meant to be shared.
One last word: The person who inspired this post. Maybe you know I'm talking about you, and maybe you don't. However I want to make one thing crystal clear.....I know what happened. Out of respect for the individuals involved, I will not mention your name(s) on this board or theirs, or what happened. However, I advise you don't provoke me. If I ever hear of you duplicating the same thing you did in this instance, if I ever see a post from someone who posts a story sounds similar to what happened here, I will drag you out in front of everyone on this board and tell everyone what you did and destroy any reputation you built up for yourself as well as any other alias you try to use to propagate your bulls***. I will not let you financially gain off of anyone elses' misfortune!
In short: be smart and don't make me go 'van helsing' on you.
